A Hint of Spring Home Décor

Lindsay Hines of Whimsy Girl Design will help you transition from holiday to spring home décor!

The gifts have been opened, the twinkle lights have been unplugged, the holiday decor is back up in the attic and let me guess… your home feels bare and boring? Is that somewhat true for you? While I enjoy getting my house back in order after the holidays, it can feel somewhat bare and boring when the décor is taken down. I tend to start dreaming of warmer days, sunny skies and all things spring. While I am not quite ready to bring out the tulips and bunnies just yet, I do like to incorporate a few touches of nature (with a hint of spring) that transition nicely through the next few months!

Tuesday Morning has already started stocking their shelves full of springtime goodies! From bird houses and garden décor to patio furnishings and faux florals, they have it all. Let me share a secret with you: buy it now, don’t wait. I know it might seem a little early, but it sells fast and you will miss out!

I took my own advice and headed to Tuesday Morning and came across some great finds! I am a neutral lover so I tend to go with subtle colors. I needed something simple to add to the tray on our coffee table and came across the perfect piece! I adore this wooden box full of succulents! This is something that will work all the way into next fall! It also has a hook on the back so you can hang it on the wall… so cute and such a versatile piece!

I also picked up this decorative greenery sphere. These can be used in so many ways and they were available in different greenery types and sizes! I removed the pinecones that were in this wooden tray for the holidays and added the sphere to give it a fresh, new look! Such an easy and inexpensive way to revamp a space!

I switched out the plants on our shelves as well. Dark, pine plants on the top shelf were replaced with faux fern plants that I picked up at Tuesday Morning last year! These are great to fill in spots that need a touch of color and texture!

Over in our reading nook area, I added another faux, potted plant to add color and texture. I really liked the gray ceramic planter this one came in. It is perfect with our neutral color scheme and goes well on our metal table from Tuesday Morning… another item I purchased last year!

Just for fun and to show how versatile this item is, I also styled it in our guest bathroom. I think it is perfect in both spots, which means I will be heading back to Tuesday Morning to pick up a few more of these! Like the greenery sphere above, these came in different plant variations!

Over on our card catalog, I added another cute succulent arrangement that I came across on my shopping trip. This is another piece that can go in any room and is perfect for any décor style! The metallic gold accent on the planter added an unexpected touch and tied in perfectly with the vintage brass pulls on the drawers!

I couldn’t resist this cute, little burlap wrapped greenery arrangement. Not really having a plan for it, I took it home and found a great spot in our master bathroom. It adds to the spa like feel I have created but adds a touch of color and interest to the space. These arrangements are great all over the house in spaces that just need a little something!

The last area that needed a little refresh was our entry. My vintage cart held two small, Christmas trees I found at Tuesday Morning over the holidays so it was looking a little drab when I put those away. When I saw these white floral stems, I knew they would look great here! I placed them in a glass vase I already had and just like that, I had a whole new look!

My house feels warm and welcoming again, thanks to Tuesday Morning. And look what they are putting out as you read this… bright colored florals, pretty arrangements, gorgeous wreaths… who has spring fever now?
