With the holidays just about here it is time to enjoy quality moments with friends and family. Embracing the crisp air, watching some football and eating good food makes autumn a magical time. Thanksgiving is one of those fall holidays to spend with those you love and celebrate in style. I’ve set a simple and rustic Thanksgiving tablescape full of meaningful details with easy to recreate steps for a classic look!
Tip 1: Create a Centerpiece
Creating a focal point for your table is key. It doesn’t need to be over the top but should have a fall touch. Whether a cluster of fall colored flowers in a simple vase or pulling a pumpkin from the front porch (like I did here) with some simple lettuce leaves from the grocery store, your centerpiece will be the perfect center of attention for your table décor! I always like to add some candles too for a little more ambience.
Tip 2: Use White Dishes
White goes with everything and is such a staple in my dish collection. It layers perfectly with colored placemats and napkins and makes your food pop like our butternut squash soup! I love the selection of essential pieces like these at Tuesday Morning. There are so many white dishes and bakeware for you to build your collection effortlessly.
Tip 3: Decorate with Rustic Thanksgiving Decor
This is a no brainer! Every Thanksgiving should pay homage to the holiday. I love this cute little white turkey and he actually lights up adding to my candle light and ambience.
This little white antler dish is perfect for a side dish and to keep it warm. Later this could be used to have a medley of nuts on the counter for snacking!
Tip 4: Set The Table with Crystal Glassware
I always use gorgeous crystal glasses for my holiday tables. These are so pretty with their geometric pattern. It would be beautiful to also mix and match them with another pattern for a whimsical touch.
Tip 5: Use Nice Linens
Always use linen napkins for your tablescape especially when celebrating a holiday. It is just one of those touches that gives your table more attention to detail. These linen ruffle ones are timeless and can be used time and time again. They really add to the farmhouse feel!
Tip 6: Add Poppers
I seriously don’t know if this one is for the kids or really for me! I love that poppers are now available for all the holidays. They are so much fun and it is like presenting a little gift next to your guest’s plates. But you may want to take these outside after dinner!
Tip 7: Add Pops of Color
Adding a pop of color to your otherwise neutral table décor will give it dimension. I like to select colors in the season and then add an unexpected color like this turquoise pillow to pop the color in the napkin rings. Other good items to do this with are placemats, napkins and candles.
I love the meaningful time spent with family and friends at this time of year and I hope I’ve inspired you to set a table to celebrate in ease and style! For more ideas on Thanksgiving décor and tablescapes, pop over and check out Tuesday Morning’s Pinterest board “Holiday Tablescape”.
