Find Decor Inspiration From Around the World

Read how Rebekah Dempsey of A Blissful Nest used international decor inspiration to style her home with unique finds from Tuesday Morning.

With the Summer Games happening in Brazil, I’ve got international decor on my brain. I love adding pops of international flare into my home. The unique colors, textures and patterns really do create a very unexpected look. Some of my favorite countries to get inspiration from are France, England and Morocco. Each country lends such different aesthetics than each other. I added pops of these into my home to show you how easy it is to transform your space with a few specific items from Tuesday Morning.

Our blue and white living room got the Moroccan touch! I chose elements in golds and browns to make our all white furniture stand out.

This intricate gold bowl is a gorgeous accent filled with moss balls. I could even see placing this on an end table with a candle in the middle for a beautiful effect.

The moment I saw this tall gold vase I knew it would perfectly complement the bowl next to it. This versatile neutral tray has etched detailing on it and holds the whitewashed candle stick and gold spheres.

When I think of Moroccan style, I think of bold patterns and sparkling accents. I think that is just what I got with this patterned center pillow and two smaller pillows with gold and rhinestone detailing.

For our entry, I added lots of Parisian flare. I kept the color scheme rather neutral and let the other elements add lots of texture.

Inspired by the opulent gardens in Paris, I created an elegant botanical look with flowers, baskets and terra cotta pots.

I just adore this chandelier vase wrapped in burlap. It fits perfectly tucked next to this gorgeous tall turquoise vase.

These darling terra cotta pots are hand stamped and come in varying heights. I added a little greenery to one, but left the others empty for a garden bench feel.

Now, let’s take a trip to London! When I think of England, I think of afternoons with tea and good conversation with friends. I set a little brunch spot for me and my friends with the perfect British-inspired accents from Tuesday Morning.

This tall silver clock tower is the perfect centerpiece for the table. English gardens are so well manicured, so the boxwoods are a great accent to an afternoon of tea in a garden.

Of course I chose red placemats to accent all my black and white table decor! It adds a great pop in contrast with the blue and white pillows on my bench seat. These London plates were just too cute to pass up too!

You cannot have afternoon tea without the perfect mug. I just fell head over heels for these tea mugs when I saw them! They really go with any decor, not just a London-inspired tablescape. I love being able to use pieces continually in designs and have them work with everything.

I am really obsessed with these flower napkin rings. They are another piece that can transition into any decor look and go with a variety of themes and styles.

Blog: A Blissful Nest

My home Tuesday Morning location: Allen, Texas

My favorite Tuesday Morning department: The Pillows!

A little about me: I am a native Californian but moved to Dallas 3 years ago. I absolutely love living in the South but still miss seeing the beach every day. I love going junking on the weekends with friends and am constantly reinventing the rooms in my home. I love moving pieces around that I already own to create a new look! My days are full with my design clients, running A Blissful Nest and being a soccer mom on the weekends. I wouldn’t have it any other way!

What I love to write about: I love writing about design tips and how to get a designer look with not a whole lot of effort. I love mixing unusual color combinations with unique pattern mixes. Everyone deserves a blissful home with their own personal signature touch!

I grew up in Dallas and still love it. Although I live now in Wichita Falls I come to Dallas often and will look you up at your store. Loved your pics and comments.

In the one photo of the window with the two lamps…what is the item in the middle of the curtains? Is is fabric on the curtains? I like it but just not sure what it is. It was not addressed in the description.

    Thank you.

Linda Trammel asked about the item in the middle of what she perceived as curtains (which is actually an expensive wallpaper mounted on a lightweight board cut to fit the niche). I believe she wanted to know (as I do) what the round white circle (surround by strips of brown and white slats) actually is. Is it all one piece, or perhaps something you designed? It looks something similar to a deco art clock.
