Easter is just around the corner and it’s time to start thinking about Easter Egg Hunts, Easter dresses and of course, Easter Brunch. I am a big fan of brunch and plan lots of my celebrations around this low-key, sorta fancy, definitely delicious meal. I’m going to show you how to bring the fresh look of springtime to your table and get your celebration hopping with stylish bunny-themed Easter table settings.
I am such a big fan of brunch that I’ve decided that it is the perfect way to celebrate Easter with our family. I grew up celebrating Easter with a traditional Easter dinner with ham, cheesy potato casserole and of course deviled eggs, but this year I am mixing things up and planning an extraordinary brunch celebration.
I was inspired by these adorable egg holders at Tuesday Morning and set out to create stunning Easter table settings that incorporated these cute little bunnies.
I am obsessed with all things aqua and love how this aqua tablecloth matched my new dining room chairs. I thought it would be the perfect starting point for our Easter table settings. I layered it with a natural burlap runner and added a touch of spring with two tall boxwood topiaries. I added a few white ceramic bunnies with pink ears and bouquets of flowers to bring in color.
One of the things that I love about brunch is it can be as low-key and casual as you want, or it can be fancy and sophisticated. For my Easter table settings, I tried to find a mixture of both. I love the collection of vintage disposable plates available at Tuesday Morning. They bring such an upscale feeling to the table, but they are fuss-free when it comes to entertaining. I layered blush and white plates on top of each other and placed on of the bunny egg cups in the center with pastel dyed eggs. These would also make great place cards. You could simply use stickers or a gold paint pen to write the names of your guests on the eggs. I pulled the yellow color from the bunny egg cups into the place setting with yellow cloth napkins and gold flatware.
Now that the table is all set and ready for our guests to arrive, it’s time to start thinking about what you will be serving for brunch. One of the great things about brunch is you can still serve the traditional Easter ham and cheesy potato casserole, but you can pair it with lighter dishes and incorporate lots of pastries and sweets. I made a delicious Asparagus Tart with Lemon Honey Sauce in the white tart pan I picked up at Tuesday Morning. I love browsing the food aisle. There are so many unique flavors and treats from around the globe and they oftentimes inspire me to create new recipes. That’s exactly what happened when I spotted this golden honey. I couldn’t wait to figure out how to incorporate it into our brunch menu and love how its golden, sweet flavor perfectly balances out the asparagus tart.
I filled a white, woven ceramic basket with pastries that look like bunny ears and vanilla meringues for the bunny tails to keep with our bunny-themed table. Now that the table is all set, I’m really looking forward to hosting my family for our annual Easter Egg Hunt and brunch on Easter morning!
