7 Adorable Baby Shower Themes

Bloggers Chelsea and Nate Day of Someday I’ll Learn are expecting their fourth kid in a few months! Check out how they incorporated their Tuesday Morning finds into seven adorable baby shower themes.

I’ve been to dozens of baby showers in the last few years (a couple of my own included) and experienced themes ranging from zany zoo characters to upscale accoutrements. The best ones – in my opinion – are sweet, simple and developed around the parents’ personalities with a few grown-up touches just for them. Here are some of my favorite baby shower themes that can be executed with a couple focal pieces and baby gifts galore!

Birds and Bees

Perfect for a spring brunch, this low-key theme can be pulled off with some small bird figurines and fanciful flowers strewn all around. Serve some small bites and offer up lots of pampering for the mom-to-be!

Poolside Playdate

If the parents already have older children, take the party outside for some splish-splash celebrating. Make it an all-family affair with cousins and nieces and nephews, too. Parents of more than one can be especially tight for space in the house, so this can be a good way to help them setup their own outdoor area and show them how much fun they’ll have with lots of littles around. The whole group can pitch in for outdoor storage options – and don’t forget the baby swimwear!

All-American Baby

Stars and stripes and red and blue! This theme lends well to either gender, and is perfectly-suited for a summer celebration. Flag decorations are an easy find this time of year, and guests can chow down on barbecue and country classic drinks from mason jars. You can even go out with a bang by lighting some sparklers at sunset.

Elephant Everything

Elephants are on parade in this sweet pachyderm party theme. Nab some elephant statues that can double as nursery décor and throw in some elephant-emblazoned onesies and blankies. You can even screen Dumbo if there are wee ones around looking for a little entertainment! For snacks, roasted peanuts are the perfect way to help the parents-to-be celebrate their own little peanut.

Dapper Dreamer

Dream-like settings are often thought of as the perfect intro to a baby girl, but clouds and pillows can be oh-so-charming when paired with dashing details for a boy. Start with a basic background of fluffy pom-poms, white balloons, dream weavers and mobiles. Then, add some brown leather accents, baby blue stripes and tiny overalls for a vibe that’s soft, yet strapping.

Jungle Jam

For the first-time parent who’s totally enthused about baby basics and wants some help getting the nursery setup, consider a jungle theme! The bright colors lend well to a mish-mash of gifts from friends and family, and there are tons of options for toys to help keep baby entertained. Serve up some wild wraps and jungle juice and make way for lions, zebras and giraffes.

Dainty Darling

If mom and dad are ready to celebrate sugar and spice and everything nice, go all out with tea time festivities. Play up the theme with lace doilies and delicate stockings. Add some ornate frames that can be repurposed in the nursery, and don’t forget the crumpets and jelly!

I go to the Lakeland, Florida store on South Florida Ave. I have gone several time in the last month and the doors are closed. It says temporary closed. Are y’all closing this store and if so are you opening up a new one. That has been there a long time and will miss it very much. Like the closest is 45 min to 2 hrs. And I live 45 minutes from this store. Please let me know what’s up. Fran Nix
