Warm & Welcoming Fall Decorating Ideas

We partnered with Lindsay, blogger of Whimsy Girl Design. Check out her sophisticated fall decorating ideas using great deals on seasonal designer decor accents from Tuesday Morning.

“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall…” –F. Scott Fitzgerald

Cooler weather and cozy clothes, pumpkins and fall flowers, football games and bonfires…I love everything about fall. With fall approaching, I crave a warm and welcoming feel to my home. Adding a few seasonal touches is an easy and inexpensive way to create a new look. Tuesday Morning is my go-to store for seasonal decor…with their great prices on name brand products, you can decorate for each season without breaking the bank!

For me, seasonal decorating starts on the front porch! Creating a welcoming front porch can be as simple as adding a seasonal wreath. I spotted this one at my local Tuesday Morning store and knew it would be perfect! Such an easy and inexpensive way to make a big impact!

Now come on in and grab a cup of coffee…these cute coffee mugs and darling, burlap towel were the perfect additions to our coffee bar. I love using items to decorate with that are also functional…and of course, I couldn’t resist a sweet treat while browsing the amazing food aisle at Tuesday Morning!

I kept my fall decor simple and subtle this year. Creating small, seasonal vignettes around the house is a great way to welcome the season without overdoing it. I am always thinking “outside the box” when decorating my house so when I came across this wicker hanging basket, I knew it I wanted to use it in some way. Although I decided not to hang it, I love the way it looks on our entry table.

The wicker and jute elements add to the texture in the space and keep things interesting. A few faux pumpkins and a bundle of dried wheat were the perfect fillers to complete this fall vignette. This is an item that can be switched up for every season!

To bring in a touch of fall in our living room, I simply added this gorgeous metallic pumpkin and another bundle of wheat to our existing decor. I love how the metallic finish catches your eye and adds a bit of glam to my rustic space!

Over in our sitting area, I added a few pinecone “corn husks” that I found at Tuesday Morning to this rustic wood bowl. They add a subtle touch of fall and a lot of texture to this space!

Moving into our breakfast nook, a festive table runner sets the tone to welcome family and friends. What I really love about this table runner, other than the amazing price of under $10, was that it is reversible. The other side is solid burlap and can be used all year long! For now, I love the “Give Thanks” graphic against the pretty charcoal gray fabric. It’s the perfect seasonal accent for our kitchen table…

My favorite Tuesday Morning department: This is a trick question, right? I love them all! I usually head straight for the furniture, then home decor, stop by the housewares and then end up in the seasonal department. I literally go down every aisle, you never know what you might come across!

A little about me: I am a wife and mom of 2 girls living outside of Dallas, TX. I love bargain shopping, antiquing, eating Mexican food and decorating my home!

What I love to write about: I love sharing my love for design, decor, DIY projects and great deals with my blog audience! It’s a fun place to connect with others who share the same interests!

Closing a store is never an easy decision, Melinda. We take multiple factors into consideration, some of which are out of our control. We’re always searching for new locations, but in the meantime, you can locate your nearest Tuesday Morning store here:

We apologize for the inconvenience, Gene. Rather than sell online, we’ve moved our focus in-store in order to pass the savings along to our customers. Closing a store is never an easy decision. We live in a rural setting. I just got done having gray laminate put on my countertops. I am unsure of a color to paint the walls to give the room some light to enhance the gray. Ideas?

Revere Pewter, Agreeable Gray and Gray Owl are all wonderful colors to try out! Hope that helps!

I love your stores. I have shopped in Tuesday Morning from N.C. to Ohio to Fl. I was very disappointed appointed however with your store in Bradenton Fl. I could not find my usual goodies. The store was in shambles. The salesperson apologized . I was very surprised for the condition. They were short on help. Hope my next visit is better. I need to shop for Christmas.

Love your style. I’d like to find the wicker basket and table runner. Do you have the item numbers so I can do a local store search? Thank you!!!
